The
Jeep brand continues to raise the standards when talking about their new vehicle lineup. This year, Jeep has turned the 2011 Jeep Compass from a standard to a luxury making a remarkable change from previous years with its new styling, fuel economy and several standard features.
The Compass sure can reference the 2011 Grand Cherokee for its looks.
Exterior Features
The
Compass receives upgrades to its front with a new front grille, fascia, headlamps, hood and fenders giving this vehicle a stronger look while appearing more luxurious at the same time. For the backside of this vehicle, the compass gets LED tail lamps, a body-colored spoiler along with 17-inch aluminum wheels and 18-inch aluminum or chrome-clad wheels on the Limited.
Also, a band of protective cladding was added for safety when driving through tough weather conditions. This cladding also gives the Compass an upscale touch.
On the Inside
New features added to the Compass includes a new center armrest, new soft-touch door trim panels and an all-new steering wheel designed for safety with integrated cruise control, radio controls and available hands-free phone.
A new cloth interior give the Compass a more refined feel, and all-new standard features including cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power/heated exterior mirrors, key less entry, aluminum wheels, fog lamps and sunscreen glass.
Just a few of the features giving this Jeep a tech-savvy vehicle include the available Uconnect media center with iPod interface, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link, power sunroof, a premium audio system with nine Boston Acoustic speakers, illuminated cup holders, lift gate speakers and fold-flat rear seats.
Under the Hood
The Compass, Latitude and Limited are the three different models available for the 2011 Compass. Every level is available in front-wheel with the Freedom Drive I full-time active 4x4 system or the Freedom drive II Off-Road Package full-time, active 4x4 system with low-range capability.
The Latitude trim level features 158 horsepower with 141 lb-ft of torque 2.0-liter World Engine with 23/29 city/highway miles per gallon.
The Compass Limited features the 2.4-liter World Engine with 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque producing 23 city mpg and 29 highway mpg.
The Compass is available in Blackberry Pearl coat, Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Bright While Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Clear Coat, Deep Cherry Red Crystal Clear Coat, Deep Charcoal Gray and Mineral Gray Pearl Coat exterior color options.
